Renter Occupied Housing, 2025

TUESDAY, MAR 30, 2021

The counties with the nation’s most expensive houses in 2025 are likely to be the same as they were in 2020, according to Easy Analytic Software Inc. data analyzed by Social Explorer. Nantucket, Mass. ($910,800); New York ($865,400); and Marin, Calif. ($821,200) are predicted to remain the three most expensive housing markets for owners.

In terms of appreciation, however, the best bets may be a little more off the beaten path. Counties with the biggest percentage jumps in housing prices by 2025 will include Billings, N.D. (+7.5 percent to $110,500); Wilcox, Ala. (+6.3 percent to $64,600); and Mountrail, N.D. (+5.5 percent to $94,800). Explore projected 2025 median home values by county with Social Explorer’s easy-to-use online mapping tools.
