Social Explorer Continues to Track the Spread of COVID-19 in 2021

MONDAY, JAN 18, 2021

Unfortunately, the global coronavirus pandemic did not end when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s and we began 2021 on an unusually quiet note. A year has officially passed since we began living the “new normal,” and while there is hope that things will change soon, daily coronavirus cases and deaths are still reaching incredible highs globally.

Since COVID-19 is no less relevant than it was a year ago, we are committed to bringing up-to-date data on the spread of the virus even in the new year. Once you’ve selected the year 2021 in the data category picker, the COVID-19 dataset will allow you to view data by confirmed cases, number of deaths, number of hospitalized, number of positive tests, number of negative tests, and changes from the previous day, week, and month. We have striven to bring insights through data from the very beginning of the pandemic and continue to do so with our up-to-date COVID-19 dataset that continues into 2021.

Use the swipe or side-by-side map to compare maps and variables and track the spread of the virus and changes in case counts across the United States in the past year.
