Configure EZproxy for automatic authentication

For institutional administrators

After your subscription process is complete, the next step is to set up EZproxy for automatic access to Social Explorer resources. EZproxy is a customizable middleware program that provides access to your library's licensed content for your remote library users simply and effectively, by facilitating a single sign-in using existing library-issued credentials or username and password.

Enabling EZproxy

To set up EZproxy, you will need

1. The IP address of the ez-proxy server needs to be on the list of IP addresses in our system.
2. The EZ-Proxy stanza needs to be present in the ezproxy.cfg file as specified below:
