Percent Change

A percentage change is a way to express a change in a variable. It represents the relative change between the old value and the new, which refers to the percent growth or decline.

For example: Population Percent Change = (Population Change / Total Population in 2000) * 100.

Change Percent Points

Percentage points are the unit for the arithmetic difference of two percentages.

For example: Percent White in 2010 - Percent White in 2000.
