Description

The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI), managed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), tracks the management of certain toxic chemicals that may pose a threat to human health and the environment. Facilities in industries such as manufacturing, mining, and power generation must report annually on how much of each chemical is released into the air, water, or land, or managed through recycling, energy recovery, or treatment.
