Urgent Care Facilities and Emergency Medical Service Stations in the U.S.

MONDAY, AUG 30, 2021

The severity of climate change became even more obvious in July when skies over many East Coast cities and towns darkened – because of out-of-control forest fires on the other side of the continent. More than 21,000 firefighters and support personnel were battling blazes across 1.6 million acres in the U.S.

Now, only a month later, Hurricane Ida rages across the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, causing floods, wind damage, and power outages, once again proving that the consequences of climate change are not only becoming more apparent but more frequent as well.

Using our map layers, Social Explorer shows where all the urgent care facilities and emergency medical service stations are located across the United States and where help will be more readily available in times of emergency.
