New Census 2020 Response Rate Data is Live on Social Explorer

FRIDAY, AUG 07, 2020

At Social Explorer, our main priority is to provide clear and accurate data. Our data mapping and visualization tools strive to provide coherent insights into current issues and events, allowing you to make better sense of your community and beyond. The 2020 Census is no exception.

That the 2020 Census count will end on September 30, a full month sooner than previously scheduled, has given rise to a growing amount of uncertainty regarding the accuracy of the data and its outcomes. According to a Social Explorer analysis of responses, as many as 100 million Americans are yet to be counted in the 2020 Census. The cut schedule for data collection will lead to millions of people, especially hard-to-count communities such as minorities, immigrants, and children, remaining unaccounted.

Our new Census 2020 Response Rate dataset allows you to follow the count quickly and efficiently. View counts through response rates, specifically, counted, counted rate, uncounted, and percent of uncounted. In addition, view response rates on three different geographical levels, including county, census tract, and congressional district.

As the situation continues to develop, Social Explorer is committed to providing data and insights into the most relevant issues regarding the 2020 Census.
