Asian-American Population in the United States

MONDAY, JUL 06, 2020

Asian-Americans, the nation's fastest-growing racial group during the first decade of the century, are likely to remain the fastest-growing single racial group during the second decade as well, according to a Social Explorer analysis of the 2014-18 American Community Survey.

While the largest concentrations of Asian-Americans are still found in places like Honolulu, San Francisco, and New York, the analysis shows some of the highest growth rates over the last decade have occurred in places like Beadle County, S.D. (+7,641 percent); Cleburne County, Ark. (+7,500 percent); and Hardy County, W.Va. (+7,400 percent).
