Notes:
Table T11 Tobacco and Alcohol Usage contains variable Drinking Adults (Persons 18 Years and Over) which refers to excessive drinking and/or binge drinking. Up to 2011, this variable was defined as percent of adults that report excessive drinking in the past 30 days, and from 2012 is defined as excessive drinking (percent of adults who report heavy or bringe drinking). Binge drinking is defined as consuming more than 4 (women) or 5 (men) alcoholic beverages on a single occasion in the past 30 days and heavy drinking is defined as drinking more than one (women) or 2 (men) drinks per day on average.

Adult Smoking is the percentage of the adult population that currently smokes every day or most days and has smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime.
Excessive Drinking is the percentage of adults that report either binge drinking, defined as consuming more than 4 (women) or 5 (men) alcoholic beverages on a single occasion in the past 30 days, or heavy drinking, defined as drinking more than one (women) or 2 (men) drinks per day on average.
