Notes:
  • Table's percentage does not add up to 100%. Universe is total population, percentage represent % of total population with a specific disability.
  • Deaf and Dumb category is the combination of deaf and dumb white, and colored individuals age 0 to 13, 14 to 24, 25 and above.
  • Blind is the sum of white and colored blind individuals.
  • There is a slight discrepency between Total Population counts between certain tables because two separate tabulations were made, one in 1830 and another in 1832. The difference is statistically insignificant. Disability tables were tabulated in 1832.
