Saving and Sharing Reports in Social Explorer

WEDNESDAY, JAN 13, 2016

Creating custom tables in Social Explorer is quick and easy.  Did you know that you can also save and share reports with just a couple of clicks?

Every report has a unique URL attached to it, which you can copy and save.  This is especially helpful if you are working on a table and then later want to go back and add or subtract geographies or particular tables.  It's also a convenient way to store a list of particular geographies or tables that you will want to revisit.  If you save the URL, you will be able to access modify the table whenever you want.

For example, one night while browsing Social Explorer, I created a 2010 Census report comparing New York City to the United States.

But when I woke up the next day, I realized I spend too much time in New York and wanted to look at Los Angeles too.

Fortunately, I had clicked on the prompt on the right to get the report's unique link (or you can copy it from your web browser's address bar).

Instead of starting over, I could simply open up the existing report and modify it to add sunny Los Angeles.

Now that I have the report's unique link, I can also easily share it with my bicoastal friends and fans.
