New Census Explorer Showcases Young Adults Then and Now
THURSDAY, DEC 04, 2014
Our latest collaboration with the Census Bureau launches today!
Young Adults: Then and Now looks at socioeconomic characteristics of 18- to 34-year-olds across time, from Baby Boomers to Millennials. Compare the different generations by gender, education, median income, and more. Young people today are more diverse, better educated, more likely to be bilingual. They also have higher rates of poverty and unemployment. (Read more about the Census Bureau's findings here and here.)
Do more young adults today in your area live with their parents than in previous decades? Do more own their own homes? Census Explorer helps users examine data on young adults from 1980 to today at the tract, county, metro, state and national-levels.
This edition of Census Explorer also features new interactive charts and graphs for dynamic comparisons and deeper context.
Previous editions of Census Explorer are available here.
