Social Explorer Announces Release of 2016 Presidential Election Maps

The 2016 Presidential Election results are now available in Social Explorer's maps. These and our other election data come from Dave Leip's Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections. In addition to winners and voter turnouts, the maps also include voting age population, citizens of voting age population, and competitiveness. Absentee and mail-in ballots in several states are still being counted. The overall vote counts will change for many states (including California, New York and Washington), but the electoral college results will remain the same. The final numbers are expected by mid-December and we will update the maps periodically before then as well.
